Think Loud

“When your legs don’t work like they used to before”.

Never has a song lyric been more true. Its the start of an Ed Sheeran song called Thinking Out Loud.

This came to me as I was inspired by a different song, “Think LOUD for Parkinson’s” from LSVT LOUD® a speech treatment which I have been using to help with the volume of my voice.

It is a MUST SEE to get Parkinson’s sufferers (and others) inspired to THINK LOUD while tapping their feet to a cool beat!

Leo Sayer is the singer and here he is in action…

Which brings me onto the Ed Sheeran song with a similar name, and that first line… Here he is in action.

Not only does the song start as it does but it goes on to say

When my hair’s all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don’t remember my name
When my hands don’t play the strings the same way, mm
I know you will still love me the same

Thankfully I’m still hanging onto some of my hair, and most of my memories!

Sheeran’s strings can be replaced by “swings” to highlight the sadness I felt having to give up golf. But, thanks to my wonderful wife and family I know that I too have people who love me the same despite this dreadful disease.
